Meet The Crew
Captain
Scott Britton Captain of the Titanic.
Powerlifter representing Team GB within the Global Powerlifting Committee.
I enjoy long walks by the beach and then jumping in the sea to try and look cool surfing (failing in the water with style).
I really like the works of Ben and Jerrys and will share my passion for ice cream with anyone.
I love lifting and really want to make a difference to the great folks of Macmillan Cancer Support so i decided to attempt the impossible, with a little help from my friends.
First Mate
Pete Williams First Mate of the Titanic.
Gym rat and Powerlifting newbie. Being taught the ways of the lifts by the Captain & the folks over at Olympic Gym.
When I am not running riot with my 6 year old twins, you can find me crying uncontrollaby to chick flicks whilst eating my body weight in food.
When I found out what the Captain was doing I didnt hesitate in helping, after having first hand experience with Macmillan Cancer Support during my fathers battle with cancer.
Marine Engineer
Sean Downs Marine Engineer of the Titanic.
Competetive member of British Weightlifting. I love to squat, press, snatch and clean and jerk.
I am currently studying a Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering, which keeps me busy and when I'm not doing that I'm running the Manchester based craft beer company that I own.
I jumped aboard and joined the Titanic's crew to help the team achieve at least it's fundraising target of £10,000 because I've experienced and appreciated first hand the great care and support that Macmillan offer to millions of people.
